RO Antiscalant

RO Antiscalant is a super-threshold RO membrane antiscalant and antifoulant which is able to stabilize a wide range of supersaturated salt solutions thereby prevents the precipitation on the membrane surface.

It minimizes the risk of scaling and eliminates the use of hazardous acids, resulting in efficient plant operation with highest possible conversion rate.

Our Membrane Antiscalant is effective in minimizing scaling in presence of foulants like Calcium Carbonate, Sulfate salts of Calcium, Barium, Strontium and Magnesium, Calcium Fluoride, Iron and Silica.

Key Features and Benefits

Safe to handle and use
Very high recovery rate of membrane
Low Chemical dosage and hence results cost effective
Effective over a wide variety of foulants
Does not cause any calcium or iron-based phosphate deposition as in case of SHMP
Establishes significantly longer intervals between cleaning
Compatible with all kinds of membranes

Application and Dosage
Our Membrane Antiscalant is dosed directly to the RO feed water tank or feedwater line (after pretreatment) at the minimum recommended dosage of 1mg/l and maximum dosage at 15mg/l, subject to inlet water quality and parameters is respect of Calcium Hardness, Iron, TDS, Alkalinity, pH and silica content.

High alkalinity and hardness can be controlled by dosing 4-5mg/l of product. But in case of the high iron content of about 1.2mg/l, the dosing has to be increased by 6-8mg/l for stabilizing Calcium.

It is a highly effective antiscalant for waters with LSI up to +2.6, Iron up to 1.2mg/l in reject, Silica SCR 1.32, High SDI.

Handling measures and precautions
Proper human safety products such as Splash goggles, lab coat, vapour respirator, gloves and boots should be worn while handling and applying Chemicals. Splashes on the skin should be washed off with water immediately. In case of splashing into the eyes, flush it with fresh water and obtain medical attention. Should not be injected. Please refer MSDS for more details.
